Description:

RINZAFFO MGN is a Roman volcanic (pozzolanic) lime plaster designed to resolve persistent dampness problems in historic and traditional buildings. Engineered to combat rising damp, salt contamination, wind-driven rain, and prolonged moisture saturation, it follows the principles of ancient Roman water limes — mortars capable of hardening even in the presence of moisture and performing reliably in marine environments. Its breathable, mineral composition allows trapped moisture to migrate outward while resisting salt damage, making it an ideal preparatory plaster for restoring damp and salt-affected masonry.

Because the plaster is both waterproof and breathable, it is ideal for a range of specialist applications, including: Base coat for replastering walls affected by rising damp or penetrating moisture Protective render for surfaces exposed to driving rain Lime-based tanking slurry for waterproofing basements and cellars Damp-resistant plaster for areas affected by salt crystallisation, such as around old fireplaces and chimney stacks — a common issue in historic buildings Waterproof floor base to help prevent flooding in areas exposed to pressure water or high water tables
